DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
Brief Profile
Established in 1963, the department offers degree courses namely BSc, MSc and PhD. Interdisciplinary and Vocational course on Electronic Circuit Designing (funded by RUSA) is also offered. One Research facilty (funded by RUSA under Research & Innovation) has received state recognition as a research centre. The faculty is actively engaged in research areas including atmospheric physics, astrophysics, solid state physics and particle physics. It has completed several major research projects funded by agencies such as ISRO, DST, RUSA and others. A major project is ongoing.
