VOCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
Brief
The corner stone of quality of education is its relevance to contemporary needs. Vocationalization of education has been long recognized as one of its measures as also expressed in our college mission statement: “To promote and strengthen skill based courses in the curriculum”. The college has greatly benefited from RUSA (MHRD) and UGC through their funding of vocational programmes. Apart from these, the college has implemented few other vocational programmes at its own level. In the end, all these programmes exist to offer students additional opportunities to gain employable skills even as they pursue degrees in higher education.
Academic autonomy has allowed us to innovate and integrate the vocational programmes into various course offerings thereby lubricating academic flexibility and widening options for learning while retaining the essential hands-on learning approach.
