FOUNDING FATHERS
The designation furnished against the name shows the position held in the college founding organization then called "Kohima (Science) College Organizing Committee".
The College was founded by a group of astute gentlemen who felt the need to set up a science institute in state during the tumultous times that was the 60s. They along with many concerned citizens of the state founded the college, officially, on 15 September, 1961, three years before Nagaland was accorded statehood. They have all passed on but their sacrifices continue to nourish and inspire the present generation, and will do so for many more to come.
