This Endowment was initiated by the Students Union of the college during its Golden Jubilee in 2016 by a term deposit in the bank. The principal amount has been topped up by subsequent donations by various individuals, including the Mr. T.R. Zeliang the then Chief Minister of Nagaland who was also a co-signatory along with the General Secretary of the Union, Mr. Melite Wetsah and Dr. Anungla Aier, the then Principal, on the Preamble of the Trust Fund.
The principal amount of the fund is kept in term deposit in the bank, and the interest accrued from it is utilized to sponsor scholarship and students advancement programmes.

This is a scholarship fund sponsored by the faculty members and is given out to economically challenged students who are enrolled in the college. If selected the awardees are paid a monthly stipend for a period of one academic year. The decision, as to whether the support should be continued further or not, is taken by the scholarship committee on the basis of the awardees performance.
How to apply
The scholarship is announced at the start of academic year through notices in the campus and on the college website. The applications are screened, and the selected candidates are interviewed by a scholarship committee headed by the Kohima Science College Teachers Association.
Eligibility
Any enrolled student is eligible, however the criteria for selection are chiefly weak economic status and Merit.

This Award is given to Subject Toppers in undergraduate final examination. It carries a commendation Certificate and Cash, sponsored for the faculty members and the college administration.

Dr. S. K. Dey was a teacher par excellence. He was the first Fulbright Fellow from this college during the sedate 80s. He taught English and was almost single-handedly responsible for converting the nerdy science students to literature lovers until cancer claimed him in early 90s. The award is privately sponsored by a group of his admirers and friends and approved by the college authority. It comprises a cash prize and a Commendation Certificate. This is the only award named after a teacher of the college, and that too, a teacher of English literature in a science college. Needless to say, this speaks volumes of his influence as a teacher and a colleague.
This annual Award is given to the best original poem/essay/short story or any other genre in the Literary Competition held during WinFest.

Rock Star Award is a coveted award among the students of Geology. It is presented annually and is sponsored by the alumni of Geology Department. This award is awarded to a student securing the highest mark in B.Sc. 2nd year (i.e. B.Sc. 3rd & 41h semesters). This award was constituted in 2011 by the alumni to encourage the students to develop interest in the subject and to bring out the best in them through positive competitive spirit. This award carries a citation along with a cash prize.
