Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body engaged in activities in the field of standardization and certification (known as ISI Mark) for the creation of a robust quality Ecosystem in the country.It intends to support educational activities by providing learning opportunities and monetary funding to young talents in the field of quality and standardization through mutually beneficial events. Kohima Science College (An Autonomous Govt. P.G. College), Jotsoma has been roped in as the collaborating institute of BIS (Guwahati) in Nagaland.
Every year under different topics, 14th October is celebrated as “WORLD STANDARD DAY”. This year the topic is “Shared Vision for a better world” and to celebrate the world standard day 2021, BIS (Guwahati) is organizing an essay, poster and slogan writing competition on the above mentioned theme.The competition is going to be at the national level offering cash prizes to winners in the different categories.As a collaborating institute and the Host College, we invite students from all educational institutes including schools to come and actively participate in the event. An advertisement poster, pamphlet and formats for submission of articles are also enclosed along with this letter. The last date for submission will be 05-10-2021.
